Nanowissenschaften bezeichnen die Forschung, die sich mit den Phänomenen und dem Umgang mit Materialien im Nanometer-Maßstab beschäftigt, in dem sich die Eigenschaften deutlich von denen in einem größeren Maßstab unterscheiden. Der Nanomaßstab reicht von 100 Nanometern hinab bis zur atomaren Ebene, auf der ein Nanometer ein Millionstel Teil eines Millimeters ist.

Nanotechnologen bearbeiten die Form und Größe der Materialien im Nanobereich und erzeugen damit eine ganze Reihe von Anwendungen, die von den Eigenschaften der Materialien bei diesem Maßstab profitieren. Tausende von Forschern weltweit erforschen die Vorteile der NT, indem sie neue Strukturen, Geräte und Systeme designen, beschreiben und entwickeln.

In diesem Teil kann man durch Videos, PowerPoint Präsentationen und Poster mehr über Nanowissenschaften und Nanotechnologie und ihre Anwendungen lernen und aaußerdem Bildergalerien und Kunstprojekte besuchen, die im Zusammenhang mit Nanowissenschaften und Nanotechnologie stehen.
 
Neben diesen von NANOYOU entwickelten Tools können ebenfalls einige auf anderen Websites verfügbare Ressourcen genutzt werden.
